For as long as I can remember, there has never been a time that I didn’t have a book nearby, a story swirling in my head or a pen and notebook in hand. My mother sparked my imagination very early on inventing wildly adventurous bedtime stories filled with fantasy, magic and mystery. It was also around this time she got me interested in reading from authors such as Hans Christian Andersen and Shel Silverstein. Later, Ray Bradbury would capture my undivided attention with “Something Wicked This Way Comes” both the novel and the movie. It was a mix of dark and light fantasy, mystery, adventure and at the heart, friendship vs. family, good vs. evil. It was full of surprise and much more! Since then I have always been surrounded by books and movies. I love them both equally, in all genres. I do prefer fantasy-adventure most of all, followed by mystery, suspense. I love writing, it has always been part of who I am, and what I do. When I am not writing, I enjoy cooking-stirring new things up!, creating, drawing, being outdoors whether camping in the mountains or hiking locally, working with my local church and community groups/charities, spending time with family and most likely, somewhere-home, an old bookstore, by the ocean perhaps, reading other people’s stories, poems and other various works that I can get my hands on!!
Always Imagining, Always Writing.

  1. Hi R H Dahl. A very interesting insight into your life. Thank you very much for liking my poems Scent! and Diamond Star! And such a kind comment on Diamond Star! The sea always creates such mysteries whether fact or fiction. Peace and Best Wishes. The Foureyed Poet.

    • Thank you for visiting my blog, although still a newbie without much to see just yet as far as my site goes. Writing stories is one thing, but blogging is a whole new world. I am loving what I see so far from everyone I meet, so many talented, clever, creative and interesting writers and artists. Can’t wait to read more from you Foureyed Poet!!

    • Sounds great! I love much of what you FOCUS on and I do as well-although I don’t always write much on the latter two on my blog site, but do enjoy and practice both daily. Thank you as well for coming by to say Hello. I had to take pause for a couple months on my blog, although I continued writing privately. But I am enjoying being back and don’t plan on going anywhere! =)

  2. Wonderful to meet you, R.H. It seems we have a lot in common! Thank you for checking out my blog. I’m looking forward to talking with you more in the future.

What genres do you write? 🙂
